Furniture Refining & Refinishing Navarro, while still in Honduras, executed a plethora of hand-hewn chairs, tables, pedestals and frames which had been custom ordered. Although he still occasionally will carve a piece of furniture, his interests lie more in refining existing pieces and/or restoring antique furniture, hopefully by using "hidden" replacement parts so as not to diminish the integrity of the original piece. His most impressive stateside work to date has been an extravagantly ornate solid mahogany back bar commissioned by the Rice family of Treasure Island, Florida. The owners of Gators-on-the-Pass, The Rice Family requested Julio to design, construct and carve this magnificent piece.
